About Kate Shaya

Hi, I’m Kate! I’m a recent Penn State graduate with a degree in Criminology. I’m a hardworking and people-oriented person who enjoys meeting new people, staying busy, and learning new things. I’ve always enjoyed working with and helping others, and I value making people feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I’m especially interested in being part of a team where I can make a positive difference in people’s experiences and continue learning along the way.

Outside of work, I’m also a photographer and have built my own photography business, where I photograph everything from portraits and graduations to couples and events. I love capturing genuine moments and getting to work with all different kinds of people, and photography has become a really meaningful creative outlet for me. It has also taught me a lot about communication, patience, organization, and making people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

When I’m not working or behind the camera, I love being outdoors, especially hiking and exploring new places. I’m also a big roller coaster fan! I’ve visited many different parks and have ridden 164 different roller coasters so far, and I’m always looking for the next one to add to my list. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and taking photos along the way.
